These have since become the booties I am requested to make the most!
As they are cosy and STAY on babies’ FEET!

The 10-minute bootie pattern is a quick and easy project that can be crocheted in no time.
The finished booties make great baby items to gift for a newborns, or as some have used to place in a box and sell as completed booties at markets and on etsy.
They are also ideal for using up extra leftover yarn.
Wondering what you can crochet for a new baby?
You can crochet baby booties in no time — these 10-Minute Booties are my absolute go-to pair. Quick, simple, and always adorable.
If you’re pairing them with a baby hat, I’ve got two great options:
- Try this Baby Hat with Earflaps Crochet Pattern – it’s cozy and snug.
- Or, for something even faster, the Easy Ribbed Baby Hat works up super quickly and looks great with the booties.
Whenever I need a matching set, especially if a new mom requests both a hat and booties, these are the ones I reach for every time.
I have included several step-by-step pictures to help you crochet these adorable little booties.
Once you have made them once they are so quick to whip up.
And now I have included a VIDEO tutorial over on Youtube to crochet the booties for those who prefer visual learning!
Video Tutorial – How to crochet the 10 minute Booties
I am new to video making, so please be gentle. But I would LOVE to hear your feedback on how to improve. I do not speak! My broad Scottish accent is hard to understand at times (so I have been told on many occaisions) and as crochet terminology is such universal speaking language! I have chosen to write the instructions across the screen
I can confirm these booties are the BEST and most favorite of a newborn mom; my daughter, who recently gave birth to my grandson, LOVED these booties.
How big should crochet baby booties be?
Newborn Booties Sole should measure Approximately 3.5 inches
0-3 months Booties soles should measure approximately 4 inches
I find these little crocheted booties have great stretch in them to help easily pop the booties onto the little one’s feet, especially when they are wearing the all-in-one suits that have feet on them.
Please read Special Terms and NOTES BEFORE commencing Pattern
NOTE: You will need some extra SAME colored yarn to Join AND make the Toe area
