This Easter-themed baby set was brought around by a new mum who wanted a matching Hat, bootie, and baby set for a photo shoot for her newborn

The hat is based on a simple baby beanie-type baby cap pattern

I finished off the hat with a fun brick stitch crochet pattern around the bottom to resemble a cracked egg.

The added crochet ruffle can be folded up or down to suit. The cute baby Easter bonnet set has proved to be a really popular design.

Since I originally made it I’ve upgraded the pattern a little to add in a further few rounds of ribbing AND a crochet baby diaper cover FREE PATTERN

Super-Cute and Easy Baby Hat, booties, and diaper cover FREE crochet patterns

The baby hat is an easy basic baby beanie hat pattern that is ideal for a new baby since it is made in the half-double crochet stitch and is nice and stretchy.

The baby Booties are super quick and easy to crochet too, with the brick stitch edging making it look like a cracked egg.
