TO make the booties You will be using basic stitches, you will also be required to skip some stitches  instead of working 2 together to decrease, and work some stitches into the base of the chain or the Slip to join space (this is to limit the bulkiness of the bootie for tiny feet )

What you will need to crochet Baby booties 

Materials
I used a 4.00mm Crochet hook
25 g of Double Knit Yarn
and a small amount of fluffy type baby yarn if you wish for the top cuff.

Free Crochet Booties Pattern

Abbreviations Used in this pattern 

Ch10

RND 1: Sc in 2nd Ch from hook, Sc in next 5, HDC in next, 2 HDCin next, 5 HDC in next, Working down opposite side back loops of starting Ch, 2 HDC in next, HDC in next, Sc in next 5, 2 Sc in last. move marker

RND 2:  2Sc in first Sc of last rnd, Sc in next 8 sts, *2 Sc in next, Sc in next* 3 times, Sc in next 7, 2 Sc in next, Sc in next, move marker (29)

RND 3: 2Sc in next, Sc in next 9, 2 Sc in next, *Sc in next, 2Sc in next* 3 times, Sc in next 10, 2 Sc in next, Sc in next, slst to join in next st, Ch 1, move marker (35)

RND 4: Working in back loops only, Sc in the BASE of  Ch1, each st around (35), slst to join.

RND 5: Ch 1 Working both loops, Sc in each around, slst to join, Ch1,

RND 6: Ch 1, Sc in eah stitch around, slst to join, Ch1,

RND 7: Ch1, (Do not start in base chain) Sc in next 11 sts, sk next, HDC in next, (2DCtog) 4 times, HDC in next, sk next,  Sc in next 12, (working LAST sc into the Join of previous round) slst to join.

RND 8: Ch1, (Do not sc into base of chain), Sc in next 9, skip next, Sc in next, skip next, Sc in next 3 sts, skip next, Sc in next, skip next, Sc in next 10,  slst to join.

RND 9: Ch1, (Do Not sc into the base of chain) , Sc in next 7, (skip next, Sc in next) 3 times,
sk next st, Sc in next 9, slst to join.

RND 10: Ch1, using front loops only Sc in next 7, sk 1, Sc nxt st, sk 1, Sc next 8, st to join.

RND11:  Ch1, *2hdc, hdc in nxt st * repeat around, slst to join.

RND 12: Ch1, hdc in each stitch around

Rnd 13:  changing to a  fluffy yarn if you wish to create the fluffy top

finish off working SC in each stitch around.

Ties (Make 2) : Chain a length around 60 sc long (or as long as you need) and thread through Rnd 10.
Weave in neatly all ends to finish.
