Why I Created This Adorable small Crochet Bee Pattern

While exploring my local craft market, I discovered the most charming little crochet bee tucked inside a clear bag with a “Bee Kind” message. The tag read: “I am not lost, but if I made you smile, please take me home #randomactsofkindness.”

I couldn’t wait to create my own fuzzy amigurumi bees!

Not only did I want one to use as a keychain, but I also needed a small bee to accent the bottom of my crochet wind spinner.

These versatile little bees make perfect additions to:

The Importance of Bees

Over the years, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for bees. As a crafter living in North Scotland, I’ve witnessed firsthand how essential these pollinators are to our ecosystem. Despite our challenging climate, I’ve been learning which bee-friendly plants can withstand our cold northern winds.

Beyond their ecological importance, the bee has become a symbol for kindness in mental health awareness and anti-bullying campaigns online—making this project even more meaningful.
