How to Crochet an ear warmer that FITS
Stretch: Crochet headbands have some stretch, so it’s common to make them slightly smaller than the actual head circumference.
The headband earwarmer is worked in ROWS so a good rule of thumb is to make the headband 1-2 inches smaller than the head measurement.
A crocheted headband used as an ear warmer is usually at LEAST 4 inches WIDE, when making your starting chain make sure it is at least 4 inches long, If you need to add more then remember to adjust the main section of the pattern keeping the slsts at the beginning to shape the earwarmer to your head. keeping
This pattern is super fast to crochet and can be made in the time i watch an episode of my favourite Series
I prefer to make it an inch LESS than required,
Toddler: 18-20 inches
Child: 20-21 inches
Teen: 21-22 inches
Adult: 22-23 inches
I prefer to use an Aran weight yarn or a chunky yarn for my earwarmers. It is warm cosy and is not too hot when wearing
