Easy Flower Mesh Stitch โ€“ Written Crochet Pattern

NOTES: Please do not think this pattern is difficult; even for a beginner it is an easy crochet stitch once you are in the rhythm of it!

Once you have your foundation chain set up you are essentially working (Tr, ch5 Trc) all into the single crochets, and (ch3, sc ch3 ) into the Chain 5s

People often ask me how do i know how many chains i need to crochet the flower mesh stitch

This stitch is worked in a multiple of 10 + 6 for the foundation chain.

This means you will make a chain length to the length you require BUT it MUST be able to be divided by 10 and ADD 5 extra chains

FOR this pattern I am going to crochet 50 Chains PLUS+ 6 = 56 Chains

Row 1: Ch 56

Tr in the 6th ch from the hook. *Ch 3, sk 4 sts, sc in next st, ch 3, sk 4 sts, tr in next st, ch 5, tr in the same st.* Repeat * to * across, ending with ,( tr in last st, ch 2, tr in same st as last tr).

Row 2:

Ch1, Sc in first st (into base of chain at beginning). *Ch 3, tr in next sc from the previous row, ch 5, tr in the same st, ch 3, sc in the next ch-5 sp.*Repeat * to * until the end, finishing with sc in the 3rd ch of the starting chain from the previous row. Turn.

Row 3:

Ch 5 (counts as tr + ch 2), tr in the base of chain. *Ch 3, sc in the next ch-5 sp, ch 3, tr in the next sc from the previous row, ch 5, tr in the same st. Repeat * to * across, ending with , tr in the last st, ch 2, tr in the same st. Turn.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until your project reaches the desired length.
