How to Crochet The Star Stitch and Crochet a Warm Cosy Blanket

I came across a pattern for a baby blanket using the “star stitch” not only had I never heard of this crochet stitch before, but I had never tried it. SO I taught myself a new stitch.
The Star Stich Baby blanket Pattern by LisaAuch Crochet
I call this the Easy Star Stitch Stripey Blanket The perfect for a baby cot blanket, lapghan or snuggle blanket. (Very Warm No whole baby Blanket )

The star stitch is also known (as I have since found out and hence probably why I haven’t heard of it before) the Margarite stitch, daisy stitch, and star stitch.

Very easy to pick up and not only makes a beautiful stitch and pattern, but it is also a lovely to work,

especially in nice thick Aran Yarn.

I loved how easily it worked up, and changing colors on the stripes was effortless and give such a beautiful finish.  Making it an ideal one-colored or multi-colored stitch to use.
I made a lapghan for my Uncle. Changing colors in every row with one cream in between.

The star stitch is in multiples of two +3
So I would chain 103 to start
