free crochet diaper cover pattern 0 3 months

This is an Easy diaper crochet pattern, FREE.  The actual diaper is super simple to make, and I have added an extra row onto the diaper pattern of brick stitches to make a fancy ruffle finish.
Easy Diaper Cover 0-3 month

If you arrived here from the Easter baby hat and booties crochet set pattern, then please read on and NOTE the changes for the ‘cracked egg’ aka the Brick stitch.
Baby Hat , Booties and Diaper Cover FREE CROCHET PATTERNS
However, You can easily add several rows of ruffles if you wish as the crochet baby diaper cover pattern uses Half double crochet.  Or add a pom if your making the diaper cover with the Bunny hat
The Half Double Crochet stitch naturally leaves a diagonal stitch exposed (the 3rd stitch used when you are crocheting the camel stitch). The 3rd stitch is where I pick up to create the Ruffle pants I LOVED when my daughter was small.
I will include in this free crochet diaper pattern how to add the ruffles to the little pants.
And from there you can add any amount of ruffles onto the 3rd diagonal stitch of the previous HDCs .
I made a little Easter set like this for my Grandson and add in some small crochet chicks, made from this free pattern is here It made such an adorable Easter gift to give to a baby
