Golf Driver Cover Crochet Pattern 

TO Crochet a Driver Cover you will need Aran weight yarn, and a 5.00mm hook – Shop craft essentials here

The DRIVER Golf Headcover is worked in 2 sections. You will create a ribbed section working back and forth in the BACK loop of the stitches stated.

  • Then the first and the last rows of ribbing are joined with a slip stitch to make a tube.
  • You will then make stitches evenly around the top of the tube and continue as stated.

ABBREVIATIONS

  • ch = chain
  • rnd = round
  • sc = single crochet
  • bl-sc = Back Loop Single Crochet
  • bl-slst = Back loop slip stitch
  • vstitch = (sc, ch1, sc) all in same st
  • st = stitch
  • rep = repeat
  • RS = right side
  • slst = slip stitch
  • Sctog = work 2 single crochet stitches together (decrease by 1 st)

Materials required to Crochet Golf Club Covers

I used around 250 grmas of BLACK yarn and just under 100 grams of GREY Yarn

Golf Club Cover Crochet Pattern – 1 DRIVER

Materials Required 

Aran Weight yarn 

4.50mm hook 

Ch 31 to start.

Row 1: starting in the 2nd chain from hook bl-slst  in the first 10 sts sc in the remaining sts TURN (30sts)

Row 2  to Row 13: ch1, bl-sc  in  first 20 sts, bl-slst, TURN (30sts)

Row 14: Ch1, bl-slst in next 10 sts,  bl-sc in next 20 sts TURN

Row 15: Ch1. bl-slst in first 10 sts, bl-sc in next 20 sts

Row 16 to Row 21: Repeat Row 11 and Row 12.

Row 22 to Row 29: ch1, blsc in each stitch to end. TURN

FOLD the piece in HALF and join the first and last row together by working slip stitch to join evenly to end.

(Make sure the Bloop slipstitches are at the TOP of work)

We will now be working in ROUNDS

Holding the TUBE at the TOP ( TOP of tube is the end where the slip stitches are)

Join Chosen Main color of yarn, ch 1 and we need to make 28 single crochet stitches around, join with a slip st.(28sts) 

Rnd 2: ch1, *2sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts,* Repeat *to*  around, sc in last 2 sts (34sts)

Rnd 3: ch1, single crochet in each st around, join with a slip st. (34sts)

Rnd 4: Ch1, sc in next 3 sts, 2sc in next st. Repeat around; join with a sl st. (42sts)

Rnd 5: Change Colour HERE: (sc, ch1, sc) In first st, skip 1 st, (sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (21 V sts)

Rnd 6: change the color back to the main color: (sc, ch1, sc) in the first ch1 of first V of the last round, skip 1st, ( in next st, sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (21 V sts)

Rnd 7: Change color here: (sc, ch1, sc) in first ch1 of first V of last round, skip 1 st, (in nxt st sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (21 Vsts) 

Rnd 8: change color here back to main colour: ch1, *single crochet in the st between the V sts and sc in the ch1 space; join with a slip st. (42sts) 

Rnd 9: ch1, single crochet in each st around, join with a slip st.

Rnd 10 to Rnd 18: single crochet in each st around, join with a slip st.

Rnd 19: Change colour HERE: (sc, ch1, sc) in first st, skip 1 st, ( sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (21V sts)

Rnd 20: change the color back to the main color, (sc, ch1, sc) in the first ch1 of the first V of the last round, skip 1 st ( in nxt st sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, and slst to join. (15 V sts)

Rnd 21: Change color here: (sc, ch1, sc) in first ch1 of first V of last round, skip 1 st, (in nxt st sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (21 Vsts) 

Rnd 22: ch1, *single crochet in the st between the V sts and sc in the ch1 spaces, around. join with a slip st (42sts) 

Rnd 23 – 25: sc in each stitch around 

Rnd 26: ch1, single crochet in each st around, slst to join 

Rnd 27: *2sctog, sc in next 4sts,* repeat around, slst to join

Rnd 28: *2sctog, sc in next 3sts* repeat around, slst to join

Rnd 29: *2sctog, sc in next 2sts* repeat around, slst to join

Rnd 30:*2sctog, sc in next st* repeat around, slst to join

Rnd 31: 2sctog around.

FASTEN OFF weave in the remaining stitches, and pull tight to close.

Make a POM POM and attach it to the top of the cover.

Crochet Headcover Patterns for the number 3 & 5 wood Club Below 

For the No 5 : TO START using a 4.00mm  hook and Aran weight yarn 

For the No 3: to Start using a 4.50mm hook and Aran weight 

Chain 26 sts,
Row 1: into the second chain from the hook, sc in 15sts, slip st in the remaining 10 sts, Ch1, TURN
Row 2: slip st into the first 10 sts, working into the Back loop, Sc in the next 15sts, Ch1, TURN
Row3:  BlSc in 15sts, slip st in 10 sts, Ch1, TURN
Row 4 to Row 10: Repeat Rows 2 and 3.
Row11: Blsc in each stitch, ch1, TURN
Row 14 to Row 24: Blsc in each stitch, ch1, Do not fasten off 

FOLD the piece in HALF and join the first and last row together either sew seams together by the long tail from beginning or by working slip stitch to end.
You will now have a TUBE.
We will now be working in ROUNDS

Holding the TUBE at the TOP ( TOP of tube is the end where the slip stitches are)

Rnd 1: In main colour yarn, ch 1 and we need to make 24 single crochet stitches around; join with a slip st.

Rnd 2: ch1, *2sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts,* Repeat *to*  around (30sts )

Rnd 3: ch1, single crochet in each st around, join with a slip st.

Rnd 4: ch1, single crochet in each st around, join with a slip st. 

Rnd 5:  Change colour here (GREY): (sc,ch1,sc )in first st  *skip 1 st, ( sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (15 V sts)

Rnd 6: Change the colour back to the Main colour(BLACK):work ( sc,ch1,sc ) ch1 of each ch1 of the Vsts of last round,  *in next ch1 space (sc, ch1, sc)* repeat from *to* around, slst to join. (15 V sts)

Rnd 7: Change colour here:  (GREY): (sc,ch1,sc )in first ch1 of first V of last round,  *skip 1 st, (in nxt st sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (15 Vsts) 

Rnd 8: Change colour here (BLACK) : ch1, *single crochet in the st between the V sts and sc in the ch1 space; join with a slip st (30sts) 

Rnd 9 to Rnd 14: Ch1, single crochet in each st around, join with a slip st.(30sts)

Rnd 15:  Change color here: (GREY):(sc, ch1, sc ) in first st, skip 1 st, ( sc, ch1, sc)* repeat around, slst to join. (15 V sts)

Rnd 26: 2sctog around. Fasten off. Weave in over stitches left and pull tight to finish. Weave in all ends. Add Pom poms
