A 3.00mm hook
You will need some Keyring Split rings I like these pictured from Deramores – BUY HERE
Small Cute Easy Crochet RAINBOW
Ideal FOR A KEY RING
Use a crochet hook size 3 mm,
NOTES: change colour by joining the yarn in the very last pull through of the slip to join st,
IN PURPLE Chain 5 slip to join to make a circle (leave a LONG tail for sewing later on at ASSEMBLY)
ROUND 1: IN PURPLE: work 24 single crochet stitches into the ring change to BLUE and join with a slip stitch in the first st.
ROUND 2. IN BLUE: ch1, ( 2sc in nxt, sc in nxt 3 sts), change to GREEN and finish the round with 1 slip stitch in first stitch (32sts)
ROUND 3: IN GREEN ch1, (Sc in next 4 sts, 2sc in nxt), change to YELLOW and finish the round with 1 slip stitch in first stitch (40sts)
ROUND 4: IN YELLOW ch1, (Sc in next 5 sts, 2sc in nxt), change to RED and finish the round with 1 slip stitch in first stitch (48sts)
ROUND 5: IN RED,c h1, (2Sc in next 6 sts in nxt), continue in RED and slip to join. DO NOT FASTEN OFF
ASSEMBLY
Cut and fasten all the other coloured strands and tuck them in as you Fold the piece HALF ,
wrong side to wrong side.
Working in RED slip stitches through both stitch loops of the outer edge, to join.
Useing th eLong Tail of purple at the beginning chain , sew together the chain stitches on both layers. to close
LOOP: If you are hanging it up.
Thread the Long tail strand of red you left and weave it up and through the middle of the last row. .
Make sure the rainbow hangs nicely before tying a knot on the strand.
I have also used a larger hook and exchanged the single crochet into double Crochets for a nice window hanging.
