0-3 months Crochet Baby Bonnet SIZE
The classic bonnet is designed to fit most infants aged 0–3 monthsm baby size.
It has a finished circumference of approximately 13 to 14 inches (33–36 cm) and a depth of around 5.5 inches (14 cm) from crown to edge, providing a snug yet comfortable fit for a newborn’s delicate head.

Easy Baby Bonnet – Free Crochet Pattern
Crown (worked in rounds)
Round 1: Ch 4, work 14 dc in the first chain. Join to top of ch-3. (14 dc)
Round 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in each st around. Join. (28 dc)
Round 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st. Rep from * around. Join. (42 sts)
Round 4: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts. Rep from * around. Join. (56 sts)
Round 5: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join. (56 sts)
Baby Bonnet Body (worked in rows)
Row 6: Join new colour. Ch 1, (sc, dc) in same st. Skip 1 st, (sc, dc) in next st. Repeat from * around until you have 31 clusters total (26 clusters and 5 unworked sts). This leaves the neck opening.
Row 7: Ch 1, turn. (sc, dc) in first sc from previous row, skip 1 st, (sc, dc) in next st. Rep across, ending with (sc, dc) in last st.
Repeat Row 7 for a total of 12 rows, always ending your row with a (sc, dc) in the ch-1 space of the previous row.
Neckline Trim and Ties to finish the Bonnet

Front Trim and First Tie
With RS facing, ch 1. Work 1 sc in each st up the front edge of the bonnet.
Ch 41, turn, sc into 2nd ch from hook and in each chain back toward bonnet.
Slst to rejoin at the bonnet’s corner.
Neck Trim and Second Tie
Continue working 1 sc evenly along the bottom edge of neckline, including the back of the bonnet.
At the other front corner, ch 41, turn, sc into 2nd ch from hook and in each chain back.
Slst to secure and fasten off. Weave in all ends.
