Crochet Baby Headband with Flower (FREE Pattern)

This simple crochet baby headband with a flower is the perfect choice. It’s an easy crochet project, requires minimal yarn, and can be customized with different colors and flower styles.

This has to be one of the cutest things I have ever made, the baby headband with the flower was pretty easy, and I just love how when I started it, it just kind of came together

Baby Headband with crochet flower pattern

NOTES:

  • Adjust the size of the headband by adding or subtracting chains in the foundation chain. (use th esize chart above
  • Experiment with different yarn colors and flower designs to create unique headbands.

Materials

  • Double Knit yarn
  • Crochet hook size: 4.50mm
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

Baby Headband Crochet Pattern:

Here are the approximate average head circumferences for babies, your starting chain will be an even number

  • 0-3 months: 13.5-14.5 inches
  • 3-6 months: 14.5-15.5 inches
  • 6-12 months: 15.5-17 inches

ch 55 (or to fit the size of baby head)
*SC  into back loop of 2nd chain , ch1, skip 1 stitch,* repeat from * to * 1SC in last stitch, ch1 now turn work and work to work on the opposite side of the foundation chain. (we will be working upside down the chain we just worked.) starting with a *SC, ch1, skip 1 stitch* repeat from * to * repeat from * to *
finish off and join ends by sewing the ends together, weave in ends neatly to hide.

Easy Crochet Flower

Rnd 1: Chain 4 and slst to join to make a circle, work 10 sc into the circle

Rnd 2: *chain 10, slst into the Next back loop Repeat from * to * around.

Now PUSH the loops you have just worked forwards, and work the NEXT round into the BACK LOOPS ch 12,

Rnd 3: *Ch12, slst into the next Back loop from Row 1* repeat around

Finishing:

  1. Weave in any loose ends.
  2. Attach the flower to the headband (if desired).
