Customization Ideas for Fall Home Decor

Your crochet pumpkins don’t need to be orange! Try these fun variations:

  • Colors: White pumpkins for farmhouse décor, striped pumpkins for Halloween, or jewel tones for Thanksgiving tablescapes.
  • Yarn types: Velvet or chenille yarn for soft, plush pumpkins. Tweed or rustic cotton for farmhouse vibes.
  • Size adjustments: Change your starting chain for a taller/shorter pumpkin, or add/remove rows for slimmer or chonkier shapes.
  • Stems: Use cinnamon sticks, twigs, or jute-wrapped dowels instead of crochet stems for a natural touch.
  • Finishes: Add twine bows, felt leaves, or fairy lights around your pumpkin display.

Variations you can make

  • Mini Pumpkins: Use a smaller hook and lighter yarn (DK or sport weight) for cute tabletop accents.
  • Oversized Pumpkin: Try super bulky (#6) yarn and a bigger hook to create a cozy, oversized pumpkin pillow.
  • Pumpkin Set: Mix and match small, medium, and large pumpkins for a stacked centerpiece or a shelf display.

That’s it — your Crochet Pumpkins are ready to go! You now have three sizes (small, medium, large) with matching stems, leaves, and optional curly vines, perfect for decorating your home this fall.
