Crochet Pattern for Baby Bootie Crochet Pattern to make these Cute Mary Jayne Shoes
To make the baby booties shoes just require the basic crochet stitches of:
(newborn) 3.5mm Yarn: Baby Double Knit Wool
3 months (use Red heart Baby Steps /Aran) and a 4.00mm hook
- Fold the booties in half to locate the center of the toe,
- count 5 stitches BACK towards the heel and join wool.
- Chain 15 working (5 chain counts a loop for the button)
- Sc into 5th chain from hook, sc back to where you joined yarn, slip st into same space as joining at side of shoe, and finish off.
- Fold the booties in half to locate the center of the toe.
- ENSURE you count back over the opposite SIDE to what the FIRST bootie was. SO buttons sit on the outer sides
- and work for as for the first
You can, if you wish, put a design on top of the baby booties, such as a small crochet flower. And add on your buttons for the straps.
