  1. Hi Lisa,

I was wondering if you can help please, I’m trying to crochet these mittens for my friends baby, and I’m a bit stuck on the last bit when it comes to the cuff.

When you start the cuff, do you start this separately as a separate piece of work and then join/sew the pieces together or is it continued as part of the actual Mitten?

I’m just really confused and I think there’s some typos in the Pattern, and I think I may be doing something wrong, it doesn’t make sense to me, sorry if it’s seems silly.
I’ve made some of your other patterns and they’ve come out lovely I just can’t get my head around this last bit of the cuff. Have you got a tutorial on it please? Thanks, Michelle.

    1. Hi michelle
The chain is made directly for the LAST stitch of the mitten, so
Chain 7, TURN your work and skip first chain, starting in 2nd chain from the hook, slip stitch back down the chains you have just made (working back towards the Mitten), SLIP stitch to the next stitch of the top of the mitten to join, your next rows are now worked up and down slip stitch to the top of the mitten to join. ( i will insert a close up image to show what i mean, but i was making ribbed booties, with a cuff but its the same principles.)
