With RS facing you. Join yarn at the bottom corner (starting ch), You will now be working EVENLY around the SIDES and TOP of the bonnet, working in the established pattern (sc, 5dc, repeat around )
You should have 10 FULL shells and 2 half shells around)

(I like to finish off the bonnet by working 4 extra dc in the half shell at ends (this is where the ties and ribbons will go for tying).
Keep working around the bonnet bottom edge by
Ch3, dc in same space and continue by evenly working Single Crochet,ch1, along neck edge
Finishing with the 4 extra dc corners. Fasten off securely.
Thread all loose ends and make easy tie chords for your bonnet. Make sure all ends are secured properly
