Most crochet hearts start with a magic loop/magic circle.  You do NOT need to know the magic ring/circle to crochet these cute little hearts in different sizes.

I repeat these small crochet hearts are not started with a magic ring.

The little hearts are such an easy cute crochet project and can be made in no time, using up scrap yarn.

Like I did for this hanging crochet heart decoration.

How to Make the Heart Hanging Decoration:

  • I made 2 FULL sized Crochet Hearts following the pattern Below. holding BOTH the Hearts together I worked single crochet around to join the 2 sides and lightly stuffed to fill the heart out.
  • I cut several lengths of YARN and made a tassel, attached it to the bottom of the heart using a wooden bead and threaded the ends to the top to create a loop
  • I used the Small crochet heart to add to a child’s crochet Headband that is so easy to make and a little crochet gift idea on Valentine’s Day for the kids.

You can find my FREE Crochet Headband Patterns HERE  However, you will be pleased to know I have also included an easily written free crochet pattern for the simple headband pattern further down the page after the crochet heart pattern.
