Beautiful vintage-style baby cardigan crochet pattern. A free pattern by LisaAuch Crochet

For this cardigan, I opted for a gorgeous light purple yarn to achieve that slightly vintage feel, but the beauty of this pattern is that you can choose any color that suits your style.

As you can see in the image below, I DID NOT skip 1 between the sts of the 12th round, making EVEN MORE increases to the skirt; it made the fuller skirt and it turned out spectacular!

vintage swing baby crochet cardigan completed Demonstrates the flared, A-line shape of the sweater

The cardigan is designed with versatility in mind, like the yellow cardigan above was made with no sleeves and a fuller skirt, making it perfect for various occasions.

I often am asked to crochet this for a baby shower gift, and with the fluted skirt for a christening

I even used the cardigan pattern for the Santa Baby set I crocheted

You can opt for long sleeves, as seen in the accompanying Santa baby outfit, or go for the short flared sleeves that add an adorable touch.- SEE these Patterns HERE

The christmas baby set was made with a fuller skirt by not skipping ANY stitches on the first shell round. Christmas

I used a soft baby double-knit yarn, which gave the cardigan a lovely drape and a comfortable fit.

The whole project took me about two hours to complete, making it a quick and satisfying crochet project. crochet baby cardigand pattern free
