When I first started out in my crochet journey I found as a beginner at crochet the thought of crocheting a large blanket was a bit intimidating.
But was so surprised to find I Loved making this spider man inspired blanket!
It is a very easy blanket to Crochet. Once you establish the pattern you become familiar with the rhythm of the crochet stitches.
It is extremely calming to crochet a big project.
And I just love seeing the faces of the recipient that I made the Crochet blanket for.
I based the blanket loosely on a star-shaped blanket.
Working alternative rows 1 row of black yarn,  RED yarn, a single row of black yarn, and then BLUE yarn.
The Black webbing from the center is worked in a slip stitch along the Valleys created in the star shape.
This red and blue and black web-like crochet blanket has become a firm favorite blanket for wrapping up in especially when my nephew is not feeling well.
I Love the fact I’ve managed to crochet a gift for him that he has come to love and appreciate.
I’m sure it will hold many memories and adventures yet to come.
You will need LOTS of yarn for crocheting this amazing Spiderman-inspired blanket.
SO make sure you have enough before starting out

I loved making it never mind my 7-year-old Nephew. I crocheted him this blanket for my nephew’s Christmas and it sits on his bed as a full-sized throw-over
I Love how the Star Shaped Crochet Blanket works up and have made my grandson a Grey Baby blanket, Every Year I add some more rows to it as he also loves snuggling up under it as he grows.

This is also a FREE crochet Pattern and I have just changed the colors to suit, I have made many of these blankets over the years as they are popular blankets for newborn babies.

Once a baby is all wrapped up in them the edges hang down and look so gorgeous almost like a waterfall.
